Grey sheets of rain falling from the sky

Drenching, gushing, pooling,

Noisy as hell. Clattering, jangling on tin rooves.

Scaring, exciting, feels

So good to be back,

Dancing in the rain, rushing, scurrying, laughing.

Hearing the thunder explode

In the distance over the hills

Green, life-giving rain

For the roots and leaves and

Trees and ferns

Nourishing, growing, seeking sky.

Lightning racing from cloud to ground

Flashing gold in this scene of grey
